Share the joy of music making with seniors by participating in a Music Together Intergenerational Class. These classes will help create a connection among generations, engage the residents' minds and bodies, and may stir up some cherished musical memories too. Music Together Princeton Lab School families benefit from the weekly interactions with the residents, who may become like extended family. Each 45-minute class includes songs, chants, dancing, and instrument play. The residents are invited to sit in a circle around the Princeton Lab School families and participate in any way they are able to join in on the fun and music making.
As the children’s music-learning is nurtured, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grownups also foster new and important relationships with "Musical Grandfriends." These unique and powerful classes are also greatly enjoyed by the seniors and staff. Seniors look forward to the children's lively visits, the chance to share memories, and the sheer fun of these playful music-making experiences. The additional cognitive, physical, and emotional benefits for both children and elders make the Generations class a win-win for all participants.
Tuition for all Music Together classes includes family materials to use at home (e.g., recordings of our award-winning music, illustrated songbook, parent education resources).
