Music Together Outreach

Music Together believes that ALL children should have the opportunity to experience the joy of family music-making. While Music Together classes are open to all individuals, we recognize that there may be cases in which families are not able to attend a typical class.

Our outreach programs seek to serve low-income or at-risk families in either parent-child or preschool class settings; children with special needs, whether physical, developmental, or medical; the elderly, through intergenerational programs; developmentally disabled adults and more.

The Princeton Lab School is currently serving the greater Princeton area through the following outreach programs:

Princeton Nursery School

PNS uses the Music Together curriculum as part of their High Scope preschool program to serve families in need, by providing a multicultural environment and a broad array of educational services.

Music for the Very Young Program

Music For the Very Young is a project of the Trenton Community Music School, which has brought Music Together to community preschools and other facilities serving Trenton’s inner-city families since 1999. At present, Music for the Very Young and Princeton Lab School teachers are serving special education classes in the Trenton public schools, Trenton Head Start, Children’s Futures family programs and the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf.
